Professor Dongheui Lee is Associate Professor of Human-Centered Assistive Robotics at the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and also director of the human-centered assistive robotics group at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). She was project assistant professor at the University of Tokyo (2007-2009), and a research scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) (2001-2004). Prof. Lee received her PhD degree in 2007 from the Department of Mechano-Informatics, University of Tokyo. She is coordinator of both the euRobotics Topic Group on Physical Human Robot Interaction and of the TUM Center of Competence Robotics, Autonomy and Interaction.
This lecture presents recent trend in robot learning control. One important aspect of recent trend is the extension of learning from simple movement primitives to complex tasks, such as sequence of movement primitives, context aware manipulation task, human robot interaction and human robot collaboration. Future research direction and open challenges will be discussed.
